Upper Back

Symptoms:

• Aching pain along inner edge of shoulder blades
• Burning pain between the shoulder blades and along the spine
• Clicking and catching in joints
• Deep ache under the shoulder blade
• Feels like it is deep in the joint and travels down bicep and shoots down outer side of shoulder
• Loss of upper arm motion
• Numbness or tingling in fourth or fifth fingers
• Pain feels like it is the spine itself
• Pain in a very certain spot on the back of shoulder
• Pain in back of shoulders
• Pain spreads up and down the spine several vertebrae
• Pain to shoulders
• Snapping or crunching sounds in shoulder movement

Causes:

• Accidents
• Carrying big back pack or purses
• Computer board without elbow support
• Emotional tension that keeps your shoulders up
• Falls
• Faulty posture
• Habitual tension that keeps the shoulders up
• Overloads in one time (moving a large couch, arms repetitive strain of overhead reaching for long periods of time, typing for long periods of time)
• Repeated raising the shoulders
• Repeatedly reaching back in work or play
• Throwing a ball or rowing a boat
• Tight pectoral muscles
